ode to kerouac...today marked the beginning of Road Trip USA part 1. left nyc around 1:30pm. had an early dinner at johnny's restaurant in blue mtn. pa off route 76. chicken looks better than it tasted. nonetheless, johhnie's was frozen in time and of course i was foaming at the mouth wishing i could drink beers here on a regular basis. ended up staying at a days inn 30 miles southeast of pittsburgh in a town called donegal. supposedly, i'm not far from frank lloyd wrights falling water. tomorrow we'll be off the interstate highway and on state roads. mingo junction here we come.
